God’s Work in Jordan and Bringing it Home

Be Hospitable to One Another

"The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. Forgive One Another

We will be taking a look at Ephesians 4 and Colossians 3 to answer the following questions about forgiveness. What is forgiveness and what isn't it? Why do we need to do it and what happens if we won't do it? What makes it hard to do? Under what circumstances do we need to forgive and what can happen if we do? Finally, how can we do it–even in the most difficult cases? These are questions that can only be answered through God's Word.

Stir Up One Another

The Word of God gives us strength and peace by the truth engraved into it. The deeper we allow His Word to bring us into relationship with the Father, the richer our lives become! But what happens when that daily walk becomes stale, or a dear brother or sister has become dull of hearing? What does the Lord command of us in these circumstances? These are the questions we will be answering as we dive into book of Hebrews and seek God's wisdom.

Bear With One Another

God’s word doesn't assume that His Church has already been made perfect, but makes clear we are a people in process being shaped and molded by the hands of His Spirit into the image of Jesus. Until then, for unity to be preserved among us, there must be a predisposition we each hold towards one another that requires humility, patience, love, and forgiveness: We must share a willingness to Bear With One Another.

Confess to One Another

Although God’s word tells us none of his commands are burdensome, there is a “one another” command that can feel heavy, raw, and exposing: confess your sins to one another. Why is this something we should do in the church, and what can happen if we refuse to? Better question: what gospel graces might we experience if we do practice this?
